Dr Peter Scott
Dr Scott is an Interventional Cardiology Consultant and is the Director of Cardiology at the Canberra Hospital. Originally from the UK, Dr Peter Scott trained in Northern Ireland and the renowned Kings College Hospital in London, followed by a fellowship at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne. He was then appointed as an Interventional Cardiologist and Cath Lab Lead at Royal Gloucestershire Hospitals in the UK. He moved to Canberra in 2019 taking the role of Director of Cardiology at Calvary Public Hospital before moving to Canberra Hospital. He has performed many thousands of diagnostic and first operator interventional cardiac catheterisations (predominantly trans-radial). He also has first operator training in IVUS, OCT, FFR and Rotablation techniques.
Dr Nikhil Pal
General and Interventional Cardiologist - Dr Pal's specialist training in Cardiology was accomplished at Oxford in United Kingdom, where he also studied for his DPhil and was subsequently awarded the 'NIHR' (National Institue of Health Research) Clinical Lectureship at the prestigious Oxford University. He is a recipient of numerous awards and has a prolific publishing record. He has completed multiple fellowships in Coronary and Structural Intervention across several International centers including John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford), Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospitals (U.K.) and Flinders Medical Centre (Adelaide). He came to Australia after being awarded the prestigious British Cardiac Intervention Society (BCIS) International Interventional fellowship, which he completed at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide. He then worked as an Interventional Cardiologist performing Coronary and Structural Heart procedures in Tasmania, before moving to Canberra. His main interest is in complex Coronary Interventional procedures and TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation). He holds a permanent position and is a Staff Specialist at The Canberra Hospital.
Dr Michael Parkinson
General and Interventional Cardiologist -  Dr Parkinson undertook physician training at Royal North Shore Hospital, and specialist cardiology training at the Central Coast and Northern Sydney health networks. He completed further dedicated training in cardiac intervention and treatment of coronary disease through a fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He was then awarded the CSANZ interventional scholarship, which he completed at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester, one of the largest cardiac centres in the United Kingdom.  He holds a permanent position at the Canberra Hospital and also works in Sydney and Central Coast hospitals.
